One of the prettiest resorts in Orange County is nestled against the breathtaking Pacific Ocean. Flanked by an inviting oceanview pool and even a Moet champagne cart, it’s no contest that the Monarch Beach Resort is a luxurious coastal playground.
So what’s a daycation here really like?
When our marketing and account management team pulled up in front of the property on a decidedly gray summer day, our jaws pretty much hit the floor as we admired everything – from the infinity-edge hot tub to the VIEW, to the upscale atmosphere that surrounded us.
Multiple five-star reviews from our day guests echo these sentiments:

While any experience here could be considered high quality, we treated ourselves to a VIP extravaganza in one of the corner cabanas (cabana pricing starts at $149, which includes day passes for 5 guests).
WiFi at the pool area was surprisingly decent, and we were able to get some work done as we relaxed, ordered a smoky mezcal margarita or two, and enjoyed tasty sandwiches for lunch.
Pool staff are readily available and frequently checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed.
While we didn’t indulge in a spa day at the Miraval Life in Balance Spa, we sent along San Diego lifestyle blogger, Jacqueline of Style Hawking, to experience it for herself. She told us, “I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate my mom and take some time to recharge. We started the day by checking into the spa and getting our treatments.” (A massage, facial, and blowout at Drybar. When in Rome, right?!).
After settling in from the relaxing spa services, they kicked back with a glass of champagne and a delicious salad for lunch. The verdict? “It was such an amazing afternoon chatting, reading, bronzing and drinking some cocktails.”
